DIY

Using Elsa Tube Doll as guidance, I created my own Elsa Tube Doll. I measured the length and width of the toilet tube. With 1/3 of the length, I cut out the skin colour crepe paper. With the remaining 2/3, I cut out the the light blue crepe paper. I then glued each piece on to the tube, skin first. I glued on two eyes and drew on a mouth using a red marker.

Using leftover material from my Frozen Wreath, I cut a piece of powder blue and white and wrap them around the tube like a cape, gluing it in place at the front. I cut at the front to give it a more cape shape. Then I glued a baby blue pearl on top of the material where they meet to act as a clasp for the cape.

I used wool I had spare to create Elsa’s hair. I have no measurements for this as it was pretty much a free flow. I just did enough to cover and braid. It was time consuming but worth it.

Elsa Tube Doll is now complete. I made 3 of these and as I was planning to use them as centerpieces, I wanted to do something more with them.

I spray painted three glass bottle white and created 3 purple skirts for the bottles. To make the skirts, I cut out some purple dress net and cut it into strips. I cut a string of purple wool and wrapped the strips of material around it, creating a tutu.
